Allstate Hit With Suit Over ‘Deceptive’ Website Cookie Banner

Four consumers sued Allstate Corp. for allegedly sharing their personal information with third-party companies despite promising website visitors they could opt out of data tracking for advertising purposes.

Marcus Johnson, Abraham Chiu, Crystal Allen, and Anessa Gray filed the proposed class-action claiming Allstate violated federal wiretapping laws and state privacy protections, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
