An alleged Nevada revenge porn site operator must pay a fine of $2 million and permanently shut down the site following an order by a federal court.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada ruled June 15 that operators of MyEx.com violated federal and state laws by posting intimate images and videos of people and their personal information without their consent. The site also charged victims fees for taking down the images and information, the Federal Trade Commission said in a June 22 statement.
