Alarm.com Beats Claims of Robocalls for Selling Security Systems

Alarm.com Holdings Inc. beat claims that it violated anti-robocall laws by partnering with other security vendors to advertise home-monitoring systems.

A lawsuit failed to show the company was responsible for the phone calls, according to a decision Wednesday by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

The court agreed with an earlier dismissal by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Todd Bank, who claimed the calls were associated with Alarm.com and its network of authorized security-system dealers, including Alliance Security, filed the lawsuit alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and similar ...
