Previously the home-sharing platform rolled out verification for guests booking stays in the platform’s most popular destinations. Now every guest making a booking must be verified, Airbnb said in a blog post Thursday.
Hosts must verify their identity too if they’re the primary person shown to guests on a listing, trip request, or reservation. Some listings may have co-hosts or a team that facilitates guest stays.
