AI Home Security Doesn’t Violate Biometric Privacy, Company Says

Security cameras powered by artificial intelligence don’t violate a state biometric privacy law, surveillance company Arlo Technologies Inc. argued while seeking to dismiss a class action before California federal court.

Arlo asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit alleging violations of Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act for a lack of standing and failure to state a claim in a Dec. 22 motion filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California
