Aerojet Rocketdyne, Whistleblower Settle Cybersecurity Suit (1)

Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc. and whistleblower Brian Markus settled a False Claims Act suit alleging that the company misled the government about its cybersecurity practices to gain missile defense and rocket engine contracts, according to a court filing.

“Aerojet agreed to pay $9 million to settle the False Claims Act claims, plus a confidential amount for attorneys fees and an additional confidential amount to settle a separate dispute between Brian Markus and Aerojet,” said Markus’ attorney, David Schecter of Miller Barondess LLP, Los Angeles.
