AARP to Pay $12.5 Million to Settle Suit Over Meta Info Sharing

AARP would pay $12.5 million to settle a proposed class action alleging it disclosed its subscribers’ personal information to Meta Platforms Inc. in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, under a proposed deal filed in federal court.
