White House Science Adviser to Curb Harassment, Up Diversity

President Trump’s new science adviser vowed to promote policies that would increase diversity and stop a culture of harassment that’s been pervasive in science, medicine and engineering.

These priorities are part of a larger effort to usher in what Kelvin K. Droegemeier called a “bold era in the endless frontier of science and technology.” His Feb. 15 address at the American Association for the Advance of Science’s annual meeting in Washington marked his first public address since he became the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy four days ago.
