Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. Dec. 1 announced it is being sued for patent infringement over its application to make and sell a generic version of Warner Chilcott Co.'s contraceptive Generess-Fe (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol chewable tablets, 0.8 mg/0.025 mg and ferrous fumarate) (Warner Chilcott Co. v. Mylan Inc.).
Warner Chilcott filed suit Nov. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey against Mylan and Famy Care Ltd., alleging the proposed generic infringes a Warner Chilcott patent covering the drug.
