Walgreens ‘Making Progress’ on Nursing Home Vaccine Consent

Walgreens is “making progress” on getting informed consent from long-term care and nursing home residents before it begins vaccinating those populations next week, a company representative said.

Some long-term care facilities told Walgreens recently the consent forms can be done “orally or electronically,” which has helped speed up the consent collection process, Ed Kaleta, Walgreens’ vice president of federal government relations and U.S. public policy, told reporters Tuesday.
