The Trump administration issued a draft guidance that seeks to improve the transparency of the US government’s drug price negotiation program, continuing the Biden-era plan as it prepares for the third cycle of talks.

The 221-page guidance published Monday by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services focuses on the implementation of the third round of the drug price negotiation program, a plan created under former President Joe Biden that gives the US powerful authority to negotiate drug costs for some of the most widely used and expensive drugs covered under Medicare.
