An East Texas hospital sued federal health officials alleging its Medicare reimbursement for treating low-income patients was inaccurately calculated and its appeal for an adjustment was improperly denied.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas contends the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services erroneously applied a formula determining how much additional reimbursement College Station Medical Center receives for taking on a disproportionate share of low-income patients.
