A nurse practitioner, Baptist Memorial Medical Group Inc., and Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. ended a lawsuit alleging that the companies violated the False Claims Act by punishing the nurse practitioner for raising concerns about alleged billing fraud, a Tennessee district court said.
The parties filed a joint stipulation of dismissal, and Judge Samuel H. Mays Jr. of the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee dismissed the suit on Wednesday.
Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comments.
