Sandoz Voluntarily Recalls One Lot of Estarylla Birth Control Pill

The Food and Drug Administration July 5 said that Sandoz Inc. is voluntarily recalling one lot of Estarylla (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) birth control pills in the United States, following a customer report of a placebo tablet present in a row of active tablets in one pack.

Estarylla is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use oral contraceptives as a method of contraception.
