CONSERVATIVE HIGH COURT COULD HURT STEM CELL RESEARCH
Could a conservative tilt to the U.S. Supreme Court limit scientists’ ability to conduct embryonic stem cell research? There’s been broad speculation that President Trump’s pick to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy on the nation’s highest court could lead to the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion being overturned. And Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) said on CNN’s State of the Union recently that an “abolishment of Roe v. Wade could actually deny those of us who use [in vitro fertilization] the ability to seek fertility treatments.”
