Roche Gains a Cancer Drug Approval in Boost to New Product List

Roche Holding AG gained U.S. approval of a cancer medicine that targets rare genetic flaws, a boost in its effort to replace its old guard of drugs.

The Swiss pharma giant received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 15 for Rozlytrek, also known as entrectinib, according to a statement. The drug is used in patients older than 12 whose tumors have mutations in a gene called NTRK and adults with a form of non-small cell lung cancer.
