Plaintiffs in Numerous Diabetes Drug Suits Seek Transfer, Consolidation in California

Plaintiffs in 35 of 53 pending personal injury cases over four similar diabetes drugs asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation April 5 to consolidate federal litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California (Incretins Products Liability, Sales, and Marketing Litigation, In re, J.P.M.L., MDL No. 2452).

The suits involve common questions of law and fact, and arise from the plaintiffs’ development of pancreatic cancer from one or more of four diabetes drugs in a class known as incretin mimetics, the petition says.
