Perrigo Co. July 30 announced that it has filed with the Food and Drug Administration an abbreviated new drug application for a generic version of Topicort (desoximetasone topical spray 0.25 percent).
Topicort is a topical corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in patients 18 years of age or older.
Perrigo said it has notified Taro Pharmaceuticals U.S.A. Inc., the owner of the reference listed drug, of the filing.
