Convicted opioid executive John Kapoor won’t be allowed to work on drugs regulated by the U.S. once his prison term ends.
The Food and Drug Administration posted a debarment notice Friday for Kapoor and a separate one for Barry J. Cadden, who founded a compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts linked to a nationwide meningitis outbreak. The permanent debarment notices prohibit both Kapoor and Cadden from “providing services in any capacity to a person that has an approved or pending drug product application.”
