Big Pill Mill Country Bust Claims Docs Traded Opioids for Sex

Sixty people are accused of illegally prescribing and distributing “dangerous” narcotics in what federal authorities April 17 called the “largest ever prescription opioid law enforcement operation.”

The bust includes 53 medical professionals throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, and West Virginia who allegedly prescribed more than 32 million pain pills to roughly 24,000 patients over two years, according to the Health and Human Services’ inspector general.
