Obamacare Navigation Firm Sues HHS Over Ban of Sales Director

A health insurance navigation company sued the Biden administration alleging that the termination of its sales director’s enrollment privileges was arbitrary and unwarranted.

The complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida claims the Centers for Medicaid & Medicaid Services acted unlawfully when it suspended its partnership with James Oswald, the sales director of West Palm Beach-based Assured Health Group, alleging “fraud, or abusive conduct.”

The case centers around AHG’s practice of allowing agents to use Oswald’s credentials to enroll “over 80,000 people in ACA coverage,” according to the complaint. The company claims this ...
