NIH Sets the Date: Precision Medicine Study to Open May 6

An ambitious study to enroll at least a million people and advance targeted treatments known as precision medicine will open nationally May 6.

The launch of the All of Us research project culminates a top goal in the final years of President Barack Obama’s administration. Congress further solidified the initiative by giving the National Institutes of Health an additional $1.5 billion in funding over a decade in the 21st Century Cures law. NIH Director Francis S. Collin said All of Us is one of the most ambitious projects the agency has ever undertaken.
