A draft policy on sharing data generated through NIH-funded research will be released “in the fairly near future,” the agency’s policy chief said Aug. 9.
“We have to do this very carefully in a way that is feasible,” and ultimately enhances data sharing, Carrie D. Wolinetz, associate director of science policy and acting chief of staff at the National Institutes of Health, said during a session on open science at the Quest for Research Excellence conference.
