Future Covid-19 shots will need to demonstrate either longer-lasting protections or broader immunity as the FDA works to overcome growing vaccine hesitancy, the agency’s vaccine chief said.
“It is to me one of the greatest travesties of American public health that an increasing number of people that think vaccines are dangerous or scary,” Peter Marks, director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research in the Food and Drug Administration. “One of key things for us to do is simply simplify what we’re doing with these vaccines.”
