The New York Department of Health has left over $183.7 million on the table due to errors in following Medicaid rebate procedures, according to NYOSC Wednesday.
An audit by the New York State Comptroller revealed that $109.4 million in rebates was missed because of an error on 490,875 claims that mistakenly showed that no Medicaid payment had been made, which made them ineligible for rebates, the office said.
Other errors include incorrectly underreporting drug units and submitting claims without including the specific national drug code, said the Comptroller.
