A panel at LifeScience Alley’s 2013 Conference in Minneapolis said Nov. 20 the Medical Device Innovation Consortium could help the industry make products faster, cheaper, and safer.
The panel, which included consortium members, said the public-private partnership could help facilitate the development of tools, systems, and approaches that expedite access to innovative medical technology.
Panel members agreed that a key element of MDIC’s work is device manufacturers willing to share their procedures and methodologies. Manufacturers need to realize, they said, that not all methodologies are proprietary.
