A trade war with China is just the latest challenge facing medical device manufacturers. They’re also bracing for an excise tax that takes effect in 2020 and could further eat into profits.

Third Delay? The industry is pushing lawmakers to repeal the tax, which was established under Obamacare and had its effective date delayed twice.
