Medical Marijuana Devices Approved, Marketed Only Outside U.S.

Patients suffering from pain, PTSD, and insomnia could get a new vaporizer that measures and manages medical marijuana dosing to help treat their disorders—but only if they’re outside of the U.S.

Kanabo Research Ltd. developed the VapePod™, which is a medical vaporizer that uses cannabis oil cartridges. The first version has been on the market in Europe and elsewhere for a little less than six months, but regulatory hurdles and pharma industry opposition have helped prevent its availability in the U.S.
