MCG Health LLC must face a proposed class action over claims that it was negligent in securing patients’ personal information, leading to a data breach that affected over 1.1 million individuals.
Cynthia Strecker sued the Seattle-based software company, which gathers patient information from medical providers and stores it. Strecker alleged that names, Social Security numbers, medical codes, postal addresses, phone numbers, email address, dates of birth, and genders were compromised as a result of the breach.
