Massive NIH Study to Offer Volunteers Genetic Data, Counseling

Medical research volunteers typically don’t see their donated data or receive input on what those results mean. The NIH is using one of the largest research programs in its history to change that.

The All of Us Research Program, the National Institutes of Health’s push to advance personalized treatments known as precision medicine, Aug. 21 announced a $4.6 million contract with health technology company Color to build a national network of genetic counselors.
