J&J, Bayer Get $27 Million Xarelto Jury Verdict Thrown Out

Johnson & Johnson and Bayer AG persuaded a Pennsylvania judge to throw out a jury verdict of more than $27 million over a woman’s injuries tied to the blood-thinning drug Xarelto.

Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Erdos Jan. 9 concluded a procedural flaw in Lynn Hartman’s case required the verdict to be set aside, voiding the companies’ first trial loss over Xarelto, one of her lawyers said.
