Home Health Agencies to Lose $810 Million in Medicare Payments (1)

Home health agencies would lose $810 million in Medicare payments for fiscal year 2023 under a proposal the Biden administration released Friday.

The decrease in the proposed payment rule (RIN 0938-AU77) would cut Medicare payments for these agencies by 4.2% next year.

The payment update would apply to agencies that support patients who are homebound and receive skilled nursing care or therapy.
