A researcher working on a herpes vaccine likely sidestepped some FDA rules, but the head of the vaccine maker told Bloomberg BNA the controversial clinical trial never crossed ethical lines.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Health said it’s planning to investigate the clinical trial conducted on the Caribbean island last year by Rational Vaccines, a Springfield, Ill., biotechnology company co-founded by Southern Illinois University microbiologist and immunologist William Halford.
