Health Agencies Sued for Records on Abortion-Related Decisions (1)

The Trump administration is being sued in an effort to force it to release documents and communications between top health officials over their decisions to review a decades-old abortion drug and rescind guidance for hospitals on providing emergency abortion care.

Filed Thursday by political outfit Reproductive Freedom for All, the lawsuit accuses the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Food and Drug Administration of failing to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests with determinations within a time period required by law.

The lawsuit was filed in US District Court for the District of Maryland.
