Supreme Court rejects appeal by dozens of generic drugmakers, leaves intact order to turn over millions of documents in state price-fixing suits.

  • Teva, Mylan, Novartis’s Sandoz and other cos. said order, issued by Pennsylvania federal judge handling pre-trial matters, improperly required sensitive documents to be turned over before their relevance was assessed
  • Suits encompass about 200 drugs, billions of dollars in alleged overcharges
  • Suits are being pressed by 49 states, plus District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories
  • Supreme Court case is Actavis v. Connecticut, 19-1010
