The Food and Drug Administration has told compounding pharmacies in Indiana, Massachusetts and New Jersey that it found serious deficiencies in their practices for producing sterile drugs, according to warning letters posted March 4 on the FDA’s website.
The FDA said that based on its inspections, it appears that the pharmacies are producing drugs that violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA).
The pharmacies that received the warning letters include Indianapolis-based Nora Apothecary and Alternatives Therapies Inc.; Pallimed Solutions Inc., which is based in Woburn, Mass.; and Wedgewood Village Pharmacy, which is based in Swedesboro, N.J.
