The FDA told compounding pharmacies in Florida and New Hampshire that it found deficiencies in their practices for producing sterile drugs, according to warning letters posted May 31 on the agency’s website.
The Food and Drug Administration said that based on inspections, the pharmacies appear to be producing drugs that violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA). The FDA has sent more than 20 warning letters to drug compounders in 2016 citing similar violations.
