The FDA told a compounding pharmacy in Alabama that it isn’t receiving valid prescriptions for individually identified patients for some of its drug products, as required.
The Food and Drug Administration said in a warning letter that based on an inspection that ended Aug. 13, 2015, it appears that Service First Pharmacies Inc., doing business as Madison Drugs, in Huntsville, Ala., is producing drugs that violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA). The warning letter was posted May 10 on the agency’s website.
