In recent activity, the Food and Drug Administration approved two generic versions of the depression drug Lexapro, as well as three generic drugs for treating certain lung diseases, tension headaches, and peptic ulcers.
On Sept. 13, Lupin Ltd. announced that FDA has approved a generic version of Forest Laboratories Inc.'s Lexapro (escitalopram oxalate) 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg tablets.
