FDA Approves Generic Versions Of Lodosyn, Avelox, Other Drugs

The Food and Drug Administration recently approved generic versions of the Parkinson’s disease drug Lodosyn and the antibiotic Avelox.

Additionally, Mylan has launched a generic product indicated for the complete or partial reversal of opioid depression, Perrigo has launched a generic version of the eye drug Neptazane and Teva has launched a generic version of the cancer drug Xeloda.

Amerigen Pharmaceuticals Ltd. March 12 announced that the FDA has approved its generic version of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc.'s Lodosyn (carbidopa) 25 mg tablets.
