Boca Pharmacal Inc. March 9 announced that the Food and Drug Administration has approved its generic version of King Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s Tapazole (methimazole) 5 mg and 10 mg tablets.
Tapazole is indicated to treat hyperthyroidism, the company said.
Boca Pharmacal, based in Coral Springs, Fla., said it expects to have multiple approvals in 2012.
