FDA Approves Generic Version of Adoxa

Impax Laboratories Inc. Feb. 18 announced that Food and Drug Administration has granted final approval of its generic version of Nycomed’s Adoxa (doxycyline monohydrate) 150 milligram capsules.

Adoxa is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, the company said.

Impax, based in Hayward, Calif., said it is preparing to launch the product through Global Pharmaceuticals, its generic division.
