The FDA is launching a drug tracking pilot program and hosting public meetings to enhance drug security and comply with federal requirements.
The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) (Title II, Pub. L. 113-54), which was signed into law in 2013, outlines a 10-year plan to build an electronic, interoperable system by 2023 to trace certain prescription drugs distributed within the U.S., including starting a pilot program and hosting public meetings for feedback.
