Drugs From Shamrock Medical Solutions May Be Mislabeled, FDA Warns Providers

The Food and Drug Administration April 11 warned health care providers that drugs from Shamrock Medical Solutions Group LLC may be mislabeled.

Shamrock, which is based in Lewis Center, Ohio, repackages and relabels drugs for 91 hospitals, pharmacies, and medical centers, FDA said.

The agency said it is advising health care providers to check medical supply stocks and remove all products from Shamrock to ensure these drugs are not administered to patients.

FDA said its recent inspection shows that Shamrock has been distributing drugs bearing incorrect labels. For example, some Shamrock labels described:
