House Democrats are demanding alleged recordings of conversations between the health secretary and the ousted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director.
Democratic leaders on the House Energy and Commerce Committee wrote to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Friday about an allegedly recorded meeting between him and Susan Monarez, the former director of the CDC.
Monarez was pushed out of her position after only a few weeks following disagreements with Kennedy regarding vaccinations. She testified in front of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee earlier this month about what led to her ousting.
