Covington Hires Kailasanath for Palo Alto Life Sciences Team

Vinita Kailasanath joined Covington as a partner in its life sciences transactions practice group in Palo Alto, the firm announced Monday.

Kailasanath represents medtech and biotechnology companies, as well as multinational pharmaceutical companies, on complex licensing and collaboration deals, and advises on due diligence in connection with life sciences and technology M&A matters. Her practice focuses on strategic intellectual property and data-driven transactions and the development, commercialization, sourcing, and protection of new products and technologies, principally in the medtech and digital health industries, the firm said.

She joins from Freshfields, according to her LinkedIn profile.
