Court Dismisses Litigation Between Pfizer, Dr. Reddy’s as Parties Settle Lipitor Action

A federal district court judge in Delaware Aug. 29 dismissed patent litigation between generic company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. and Pfizer Inc. over Pfizer’s cholesterol treatment Lipitor, after the parties reached an agreement (Pfizer Inc. v. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.).

Pfizer and Dr. Reddy’s agreed to dismiss patent litigation over Dr. Reddy’s application to make and sell generic atorvastatin calcium in 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg strengths. Judge Leonard P.
