Another osteoporosis drug is targeted in litigation as a Louisiana woman sued the manufacturers of Actonel in a federal court in Louisiana July 3, alleging Actonel’s makers failed to warn her and the medical community about the dangers of thigh bone (atypical femur) fracture (Baudean v. Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals Inc.).
Anita Beaudean alleges she used Actonel, an oral bisphosphonate drug, for nine years. In July 2011, she fractured her right femur.
