China is laying the foundation for the 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, a mammoth, multi-volume book that outlines and details standards for drugs—both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)—approved for use in China.
A special commission of the China Food and Drug Administration recently released a draft version of the Compilation Plan of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2020, saying it will take public comments until Dec. 1.
The revision comes less than a year after China unveiled the previous version of the document, which normally is updated every five years. ...
