CDC Leaves ‘Gap in Trust,’ Republican Leading Agency Reform Says

The House Republican in charge of CDC reform said following a Tuesday hearing she wasn’t satisfied with the CDC director’s answers about the agency’s guidance on reopening schools.

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa), who’s a member of both the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic and the Energy and Commerce Committee, is leading House Republican efforts to reform the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, starting with stakeholder feedback she announced in April.
